¶ Focus Calibration Before Engraving

Prepare the Focusing Post：
- Ensure that the focusing post you are using is suitable for your machine and the material thickness. Focusing posts typically have different scales or steps to assist in adjusting the focus of the laser head.

- Place the focusing post between the surface of the engraving object and the machine’s adjustment block, ensuring that the focusing post is stable and perpendicular to the worktable.

Adjust the Z-Axis Lift Module：
- Operate the Z-axis lift module, which is usually done through the machine’s control panel or software interface.
- Adjust the Z-axis slowly until the laser head descends and makes contact with the first step of the focusing post.

Precise Focusing：
- When the laser head makes contact with the first step of the focusing post, stop further descent.
- At this point, the laser focus should be precisely on the surface of the engraving object.

Conduct a Test：
- Before starting the actual engraving, it is recommended to do a test to ensure the accuracy of the focus.
- Observe the size and clarity of the laser spot on the surface of the object, and make minor adjustments to the Z-axis position if necessary.

Focus Settings for Specific Material Thicknesses：
- For materials that are 2mm thick, adjust the Z-axis so that the laser head aligns with the second step marking on the fixed focus column.
- For materials that are 4mm thick, adjust the Z-axis so that the laser head aligns with the third step marking on the fixed focus column.
- For materials that are 6mm thick, adjust the Z-axis so that the laser head aligns with the fourth step marking on the fixed focus column.
