¶ Loading and Changing Filament
3D Printer Filament Loading Procedure
1: Manually Insert the Filament
- Open the extruder, and manually push the filament into the extruder head.
2: Initiate the Filament Loading Program
- Click the load button on the touchscreen to start the printer’s automatic filament loading program.
3: Wait for Temperature Stabilization
- Wait for the printer to heat up to the specified temperature to ensure the filament can melt smoothly.
4: Execute Filament Loading
- Once the temperature reaches the set value, the printer will automatically begin loading the filament.
5: Check Filament Extrusion
- Observe whether the filament is extruding smoothly from the nozzle, indicating that the loading process is complete.
Precautions:
-
Make sure that the extruder and nozzle are heated to a temperature suitable for melting the filament before loading.
-
During the loading process, pay close attention to the flow of the filament to ensure there are no blockages or other issues.
This procedure helps ensure that the filament is properly loaded into the 3D printer, which is essential for successful and consistent printing results.
1: Initiate Filament Retraction Program
- Click the retraction button on the touchscreen to prepare for the retraction process.
2: Heat to Specified Temperature
- Wait for the printer to heat up to the temperature suitable for melting the filament.
3: Automatic Retraction
- The printer will automatically advance a small amount of filament before slowly retracting it.
4: Manually Remove Old Filament
- After the retraction is complete, manually pull out the old filament from the extruder.
5: Replace with New Filament
- Select the new type of filament you wish to use.
6: Follow Filament Loading Steps
- Proceed with loading the new filament according to the printer’s “Load Filament” procedure.
7: Complete Filament Replacement
- Once the loading steps are completed, the filament replacement is finished.
Precautions:
-
Ensure the printer is in a safe state to avoid burns or damage to the printer when retracting and replacing filament.
-
Closely monitor the filament flow during retraction and loading to ensure smooth progression without obstructions.
